Hi guys!

Let us introduce our new car, Mauri, to you! We bought him yesterday and let me tell you it was not the easiest thing to buy a car in Australia. We bought the car from a back backers car market... the people working there were not the nicest ones in the world but at least the couple selling Mauri were really nice. There was even a full camping gear included in the car price.

It took us the whole day to get Mauri ready for our trip to Queensland and Victoria. We had to get the back tyres changed first (they were almost dead) and then we had to find a way from Sydney down town back to this side of the city... Paula was driving and I was the map reader. Eventually we were able to find our way over the harbour bridge. Then we had to drive down to Mona Vale and to meet Craig (my customer) who had to write a letter saying that we are staying with him. You can not get a car to be registered under your name unless you can prove that you have an address in Australia...yes, really complicated. Then we went to an another office to get the road assistance service... you never know what might come up on the road... what if we ran out of gas for example? :0) and then we bought some blankets and pillows... I do not know how we have room for all of our shoppings since the camping gear has filled half of the car... there is no room for our wine cellar either :0).

Maurin saaminen ajokuntoon vei sitten koko eilisen kuuman paivan. Ensin kavimme noukkimassa hanet autotorilta ja sitten suuntasimme vaihtamaan takarenkaat kaupungin laitamille. Seuraavaksi suuntasimme kohti Mona Valea ja asiakastani Craigia. Australiassa ei saa autoa rekisteroitya ellei ole jotain jolla osoittaa etta on osoite Australiassa...jannittavaa. Craig kirjoitti lapun jossa kertoi etta asumme hanen luonaan ja veimme kaikki lippu laput rekisterointi toimistoon. Viimeinen etappi oli sitten hommata tiepalvelu jos automme joutuu jonkinlaiseen hataan jossain pain Australiaa... vaikka bensa loppuu tai jotain muuta katastrofaalista :0).

Huomenna kaannamme Maurin nokan kohti Blue Mountainsseja sitten suuntaamme viinilaaksoon nimelta Hunter Valley.

Tomorrow we are leaving first to Blue Mountains and then up to Hunter Walley which is full of wine yards... Something tells me we might end up spending more than a day in the walley :0).

Well, I am just about to hop into the ferry to go to Sydney. Paula is already there in the museum of Australia. We'll visit the Sydney tower...(panic!) and Chinese gardens and the Darling Harbour area. In the evening I'll have to start packing all my new shoes and things...:0) Mauri will be fully packed in the morning I'm sure.

Hugs!

Sanna
